Description:
Trees 3-7 m tall. Leaves twice pinnately compound, 8-20 cm long; ultimate leaflets many, oblong, 5-10 mm long, glabrous, upper surface dark green, lower surface light green. Racemes 6-8 cm long. Calyx rotate, 1.5-2 mm long, puberulent; corolla 4-5 mm long, yellow-green; stamens yellow. Fruit 6-9 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, straight, flat. Flowers Sep-Nov.

Distribution:
Santa Cruz Island and Monterey County to Southern California; native of Australia.

Scarce; disturbed sites, floodplains; chaparral, riparian communities; 10-350 ft (3-105 m).
