Description:
A deciduous tree growing to less than 30 meters.  staminate and pistillate flowers.  Fruit enclosed in a more or less fleshy husk.

Seedlings found at the junction of the valley road and the south terminus of the ridge road, and one on the south slope of Scorpion Canyon, about 40 vertical feet above the kayak area.
