Main Objectives

1. Synthesize existing information on invasive plants into a priority database of non-native vegetation control needs through a multi-agency steering committee

2. Bring together diverse volunteer groups into a coordinated effort to conduct on-site priority weed control efforts on invasive species within targeted watersheds identified as immediate threats to Santa Cruz Island ecosystems

3. Increase awareness in staff, concessionaires, cooperators, contractors, and visitors to the island about invasive plants as a resource issue and employ methods to reduce or prevent introductions of non-native flora through education and infrastructure.
